Our Story
We're a little picky. And that's precisely the whole point.
Little Miss Picky did not start with a business idea.
It started with a taste.
We are two brothers from Thessaloniki in northern Greece. There we grew up with the family's olive trees and learned early on what real extra virgin olive oil should taste like.
Every autumn, we helped our grandfather harvest olives and went with him to the olive mill where we saw how fresh olive oil was produced. We also grew up with other local ingredients such as honey, herbs, and vegetables – pure products where quality always came first.
From Greece to Sweden
When we moved to Sweden to study, our traditions came with us. Every year, our family sent us boxes of olive oil from our own olive trees – an obvious part of our kitchen and upbringing.
It was only then that we realized how difficult it was to find the same quality in Swedish stores. At the same time, we noticed how impressed our friends were by the taste and aroma of a true extra virgin olive oil. Many had never experienced anything like it before.
That raised a simple question: Why should it be so difficult to find really good olive oil?
That's when the idea for Little Miss Picky was born.
Quality over quantity
We both work as engineers, but Little Miss Picky is built on our passion for good food and genuine ingredients.
We still have a small production from the family's own olive trees. In order to offer our olive oil to more people, we needed to find an olive mill that met high standards for quality, certifications, and food safety – without compromising on taste.
Today, we offer a PDO-certified extra virgin olive oil from Kalamata, produced by people who share our view on quality and craftsmanship.
This is just the beginning. Over time, we want to handpick more pure and natural products from Greece. We will never have the most products – only the ones we truly believe in.
More than just olive oil
Our goal is not just to sell olive oil. We want to help more people understand how real extra virgin olive oil should taste and make it easier to choose products of genuine quality.
Little Miss Picky is not an anonymous brand. We want you to know who we are and feel confident in what we offer. Just like in the past, we believe in personal recommendations, trust, and long-term relationships.
If we wouldn't have the product at home ourselves, we will never sell it.
